The sponsor's paperwork matters as much as the visitor's. Residency status, salary evidence and the relationship documents need to align — a mismatch between the invitation and the supporting documents is the usual cause of delay.
Timing is the honest variable. Processing is usually quick, but peak seasons stretch it. If the visit is for an occasion — Eid, a graduation, a birth — start at least a month out and give the file room to breathe.

Eid, school holidays and the khareef season stretch processing. For a fixed occasion — a graduation, a wedding, a birth — file a month ahead and let the approval wait for the guest, not the guest for the approval.

A visit visa file wants insurance for the stay, onward or return travel details, and accommodation. Small items, easily forgotten, and the reason applications bounce a week before someone's mother was meant to fly.
Arrival, done properly
We arrange airport pickup so the first face after immigration is a driver holding their name — not a taxi negotiation in a language they may not speak. For elderly parents especially, this one arrangement changes the whole arrival.
